The Navy Midshipmen were done in once again by a bad offensive performance as they lost 34-6 to the #10 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday.
A season-long struggle on offense continued as Navy put up just 184 yards of total offense on the day. The Mids failed to score any touchdowns as all of their points came via two field goals.
Navy’s defense wasn’t much better, giving up 430 yards, with Irish QB Jack Coan throwing for 269 yards and 1 TD while running back Kyren Williams had 95 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground.
With the loss, Navy fell to 2-7 on the season, officially ending their chance to make a postseason bowl game.
Navy has a bye this week and will next play against East Carolina at home on November 20th.
