About The Time Machine with Charlie Stinchcomb

Charlie Stinchcomb has been spinning old rhythm and blues on Saturday afternoons at WNAV since 2000. Selecting from his collection of over 6,000 LPs and 10,000 45s he takes to the air for his "Time Machine" show carrying loads of discs.

He's one of the very few still spinning wax in the computer age.

Before coming to WNAV he had a show "R&B Alley" on WYRE. And he has held down a weekly slot on Kent County Public Radio, WKHS, since 1992.

Now retired from a career with the Anne Arundel County Health Department, he also used to do weekly DJ gigs at area bars or restaurants as well..

"I love the music. You just have to have a passion for the music, and radio," he said. "I mean no one's getting rich doing this."
