Death of Midshipman Attributed to Fentanyl

Annapolis, MD (WNAV)–A Naval Academy Midshipman and former Navy Football player’s cause of death is being reported as fentanyl toxicity. The Capital reports that 22-year-old Michael Myles James’s autopsy report was released from a county coroner’s office in Georgia.  Myles James was on leave from the academy when he was found unresponsive in his home in Hiram. He was 22 years old. The midshipman is the fourth off-duty death for the academy in 2021. There were nine such deaths in 2020.
