We have preliminary counts from the Annapolis City Elections Board of Supervisors.

 

Incumbent Gavin Buckley (D) leads opponent Steven Strawn (R) in the Annapolis mayoral race as ====  from Tuesday’s Annapolis general election….of those who came out to the polls in person: 1,034 in-person votes to 859.

Here’s how the wards are adding up from yesterday’s in-person voting—a reminder that

Ward 1: Elly Tierney (D)

Ward 3: Rhonda Pindell Charles (D)

Ward 7: Rob Savidge (D)

are all running without opposition.

Ward 2: Republican Scott Gibson received 234 votes, and Democrat Karma O’Neill received 148. A reminder that republican Fred Paone decided to not run again.

 

Ward 4: Sheila Finlayson (D) is being challenged by her Democratic primary opponent, who waged a write-in-campaign, Toni Strong-Pratt….and that race is still very close, much like it was during the primary Sheila M. Finlayson : 79      WRITE-IN. . . . . . . . . . . 76

Ward 5: Brooks Schandelmeier (D) has a narrow lead over his Republican challenger Monica Manthy, 141, to 135.

Ward 6: DaJuan Gay (D) has a challenger, republican George Gallagher… yesterday those who came out to the polls voted  60/40 in favor of Alderman Gay.

Ward 8 may see an upset…as incumbent Ross Arnett has 140 votes to his challenger Rock Toews 245 votes yesterday.

Another reminder:  the paper ballots that were mailed in and placed into drop boxes need to be counted.  The final election results are due next Tuesday, November 9th.

Ward 7 Democrat Brookes Schandelmeier has a narrow lead over his Republican challenger Monica Manthy, 141, to 135.

Ward 6: DaJuan Gay (D) has a challenger, republican George Gallagher… yesterday those who came out to the polls voted  60/40 in favor of Alderman Gay.

Ward 8 may see an upset…as incumbent Ross Arnett has 140 votes to his challenger Rock Toews’ 245 votes .
