(Glen Burnie, MD) WNAV — Two Anne Arundel County ambulance personnel were involved in a multi-vehicle crash while en route for an emergency call Tuesday afternoon.
It was just before 2 p.m. on Crain Highway and Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie and there were two other vehicles involved.
Fire and rescue crews were challenged by downed power lines lying across the emergency vehicle which caused a delay in the rescue effort. Officials say no civilian injuries are reported and as a precaution, the two EMS personnel are being transported to Shock Trauma for what are considered serious, but non life threatening injuries.
Anne Arundel Police will investigate the cause of the collision.
