The Capital Gazette Shooting Defendant Has Not Filed an Appeal

(WNAV) – The man convicted in the Capital Gazette shootings has let the window to file an appeal lapse. Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney Anne Colt-Leitess said Jarrod Ramos has not filed an appeal for his conviction and that time expired last Thursday.

Ramos has up to 90 days to ask for a modification of his sentence. Ms. Colt-Leitess said he can request other hearings in the future, for instance, if he alleges a serious error by the judge or his attorneys.
