On Saturday, Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman announced the VOLT Disaster Recovery Relief Program which is an initiative to help businesses and people recover from the damages and flooding caused by the severe storms that passed through the area Friday.
Applications for grants, which can be up to $50,000, will begin being accepted Monday, November 1st.
Priority for grants will be given to businesses most affected by the storm. The grants can be used to make repairs to damaged property, equipment replacement, covering income loss from being closed, damaged inventory, and other problems the storm caused.
Any applicants will also be required to allow a site visit to review damages. To access the application, visit www.aaedc.org.
