In a matchup between two of the worst teams in the American Athletic Conference, the Navy Midshipmen beat the Temple Owls 38-13 on Saturday.
Both teams showed why they were near the bottom of the conference as mistakes and sloppy play occurred throughout the game.
A week after putting together one of their best offensive performances all season, the Midshipmen followed it up by not even exceeding 300 yards of offense, including gaining just 98 yards in the first half.
Slotback Chance Warren caught two touchdown passes on the day, while Isaac Ruoss scored another two touchdowns on the ground and helped Navy rush for over 200 yards.
Temple’s offense could have best been described as inept, as the Owls could only muster 182 total yards, of which 80 yards came on just one drive.
The win moved Navy to 3-8 on the season and keeps them from the bottom of the American as Temple, Tulane, and South Florida all sit below them in the standings to end the season.
Navy now has two weeks to prepare for their rivalry game vs Army, which symbolizes the end of the college football regular season. That game will be played at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey on December 11th and you can listen to the game right here on 1430 WNAV.
