(Annapolis, MD) — Maryland jury trials are being postponed until at least March 6 due to the continued surge of COVID-19 cases and high rate of community transmission. The Maryland Judiciary says jury trials that have already started will continue but new dates will be set for those scheduled through March 4. District Court and Circuit courts will hear some cases remotely or in-person. The Court of Appeals and Court of Special Appeals will remain fully operational, but the chief judge may determine if the proceedings will be held in person or remotely.
