Governor Larry Hogan announced that more than $155 million in Child Care Stabilization Grants will be distributed to licensed child care centers and registered family child care providers on Monday, Oct. 4.
Grant funding is made possible by the American rescue plan. Eligible child care programs will receive a $15,000 dollar base award and $500 for each licensed program slot. That money can be used for almost any additional expenses incurred by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is in addition to a previous $155 million grand distribution to child care centers.
