(Annapolis, MD) — WNAV– Schools spokesman Bob Mosier says that the board of education approved just one of the three early dismissal days that Schools superintendent Dr. George Arlotto proposed, to give school system staff extra time to attend to personal care matters.
Mosier says, “They approved only Dec. 23, 2021, at this time. The Board is exploring some other possibilities.”
Also, “The Board also approved the recommendation of the Calendar Committee and Dr. Arlotto to close for Juneteenth on Monday, June 20, 2022, and extend the end of the school year by a single day. So the last day of school is now Wednesday, June 22, 2022.”
