AA County Police: Uber Driver Reports Assault and Robbery

(Hanover, MD)  — Anne Arundel County Police say an Uber (ride share) driver reported being assaulted at 3 a.m. Tuesday morning. The driver arrived in Hanover to pick up a fare and there were too many passengers to fit in the vehicle.

Police say that’s when one passenger displayed a knife, started kicking and punching the driver. A different passenger allegedly then stole the driver’s camera. Then, the passenger with the knife punctured a rear tire and all four subjects ran from the area. The driver was treated for a minor injury. Anne Arundel County Police Badge

The subjects are described as three Black males and one Black female. They were all dressed in dark clothing and no age range was provided. Anyone who may have information on the assault and robbery should contact county police.
