There’s a new look to the Anne Arundel County Public Library website, and it’s time capsule has been closed, to wrap up its centennial year.
At ceremonies at the Michael E. Busch Annapolis Library library CEO Skip Auld says that for the immediate future he hopes to get money for mobile libraries and hot spots, He also explained the significance of the new branding—changing from the old one that depicts an open book, to one that reflects the community services AACL provides, from pre-school classes for kids to providing food and diapers to families in need. He also hopes to be around to open the time capsule in 25 years. The time capsule was sealed and now will be passed along to time-capsule keepers.
The time capsule contains copies of today’s newspapers, masks, hand sanitizer, a device for internet hot spots, and mother memorabilia such as a specially crafted 100-year anniversary beer can; bookmarks depicting each of the library branches; t-shirts, and other AACPL knick-knacks.
